Easter 2010

We had a pleasant Easter at home this year. We had plans to travel to Kevin's family, but unfortunately, his grandmother was put into the Temple hospital on Holy Thursday for a surgery so things changed. We ended up staying at home and meeting in Temple on Saturday to see Grandma (great-grandma to Josie and Evelyn) and to see Grammy and Grandpapa. We also celebrated Grammy's 60th birthday, which was a nice treat (sopapillas...YUM!). Kevin's sister, Kristie, her husband Mike and their kids Hayden and Jenna also came for a short visit Friday night since they were so close. We loved having them here and Josie especially loved it because Jenna plays so well with Josie. Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Josie, Evelyn, Hayden and Jenna posing before our trip to Temple on Saturday.

The Easter Bunny came to see us on Easter morning. He even ate some of the carrot that Josie left out for him. He was a messy eater for sure.

Evelyn and Josie posing on Easter Sunday morning with their Easter nests from the Easter Bunny.

Waiting for the Easter Egg hunt to start at church. The girls were so excited. Josie actually picked out her Easter dress. I gave her two choices and wouldn't you know she picked my second choice (it has started already!). Evelyn's Easter dress came from Grandma. She gave it to Josie for her first birthday. I'm all about the hand me downs. :)

Ready and waiting for the word go.

Daddy and Evelyn picking up some Easter treats. Josie was funny because her favorite thing is M&Ms and she was literally passing up everything else except the M&Ms. I was upset by this because some of what she passed up were snickers so I told her to pick up everything, which she then did.

Mommy and her girls.
