Beach Trip

One of the many blessings of my staying home with the kids is that we occasionally get to travel with Kevin on work trips. One of our most recent adventures took us to beautiful Corpus Christi so we did the beach thing. The girls really enjoyed it. They did not know what to think of the yucky salty water, but acclimated quickly.

Isabelle especially loved the waves. She would not hold our hand and just ran into those waves as if she was a fish going out to sea. They would knock her over, she would get back up and hit em again. Evelyn loved the sand and the water and spent a lot of time going back and forth. Josie was the beach jellyfish warning system. Once we showed the girls what to look for, she took excellent care of the family as well as anyone else in ear-shot of us and would yell, "JELLYFISH - EVERYONE, THERE IS A JELLYFISH COMING!!! WATCH OUT! JELLYFISH!!!" Thank goodness she is so careful and cares so much for all of us.

We played in the water, built a sand castle and filled up several buckets of seashells, which we now have in our rock garden in the backyard. The girls have since played many hours with those seashells here far away from the beach. What a memory!
